Children’s Shoot | Durango Photographer | personal

Just finished up some really nice B&W headshots of the girls to hang in the bathroom.  One of the many perks of having a professional photographer in the family;<)  Why do we hang photos of our kiddos in the bathroom.  I have no idea…I am just goin with the flow…

I am trying out a new editing technique I am calling “FILM.”  Novel idea right.  Seriously, you can make digital images in both color and B&W look like they were taken in film.  Pretty cool.   And, in light of the upcoming busy wedding and high school senior season,  I thought it a fun option to offer clients.  No worries,  my signature bold “COLOR & CONTRAST” finish will still be out there and always my fav.  And, don’t forget my “SWEET CREAM” finish for soft  and dreamy  images and my “ART PrInTs”  which feature lots of textures and cross processing!!! Just ask…I aim to please!!!

This was a really fun session on a pretty cool day.  When Charmin inquired about a family session I knew instantly it would be fun!!!  When I asked her if she felt outnumbered, her being the only girl in the family and all, she said “yea, but I wear the pants.”   Love it!  There were sooo many great ones it was hard to choose.  I love the couple in sunset and the boys with attitude…

Here is a little sneak peek for the holidays for you and your beautiful family…your CD is coming soon:<)  Thanks so much for choosing me!    xo ~SAB

Soo let’s go take a hike.  Mom liked barren trees being from the east coast and with 2 active, very active, athletic boys, that is just what we’ll do…It was reallly cold, Jack and Harrison were champs hangin in there.  Jack is such a good big brother, it melted my heart the way he led Harrison…And, I absolutely love this, it is all a secret.  This is a gift for dad!!!  Sooo ~shhhh~

Without further ado, here are the 2 handsome young men…

When I spoke to Rachel about her family session this year, she said 2 things:  NOT outside and something different…I dug further and she sent me 2 old photos.  I love old photos, if you have any you would like me to see, send em over!  One was of Oleg’s mom and him when he was a boy and the other of Oleg when he was about 6 or 8.  btw, Oleg is her husband.  She said I love this picture of Oleg and his mother.  I have to agree. It is an old sepia photo with both of them gazing to the right of the camera.  The other was Oleg as Little Lord Fauntleroy, I swear, it is adorable, him standing on a column all in ruffles and velvet and the most perfect curly hair!  Well, how can I reproduce that.  Ok, so I modernized it a bit.  and Rachel def wanted black and whites.  I think they came out fantastic!  I do hope you agree Rachel.  O and we did a business headshot of Oleg, and of course we had to do one of darling little Alexandra too:<)
